The Best Christmas Gift

A few weeks ago at church our pastor talked about Jesus being the Gift of Gifts. He talked about how the gifts we receive should remind us of the greatest gift of all, Jesus! This year, we are happy to say, we have received an early Christmas gift that reminds us so very much of Jesus, His gift of salvation, and His adoption of us. It reminds us that He does set the lonely in families.

You probably thought our next update was going to be about a new agency we had joined and how we were now waiting again, right? We did too. But God was up to something bigger.

Right before we joined a new agency last week, we were called with a REFERRAL. A referral my friends is the picture and background information of your child. It is what we have been praying about for a year. We now have a face and name to put with our dreams and prayers.

To say this was a shock is an understatement. It is quite amazing how the Lord has orchestrated our journey so far. The series of events that have led up to this moment are nothing less than supernatural. A few more days with our agency, a few more hours here or there, and we would not have been in the place we are to accept this referral.

The unfortunate thing is we cannot share much with you on here until this child is legally part of our family. The next steps will be to apply for a court date and then travel.

I can tell you HE is a BOY and under three years old. Oh how I wish I could show you his face. He is so beautiful and precious. I wish I could pick him up to hold and love on him right now!

We are confident the Lord has big plans ahead for this little man and we are honored for any part He wants us to play in that. Thank you for all of your prayers as we pursue bringing this little boy into our family.

To say this has started our Christmas off right would be an understatement - we are over the moon excited and grateful!
