It means kindergarten and going down the slide at the pool.
Holding up five fingers instead of four.
It means more reality and less fantasy. More maturity, which I guess is obvious at every year, but this year it feels different.
Four has been such a fun year. A year full of imagination and millions of questions a day. D is so emotionally mature and this year marked lots of growing and healing for him, for all of us. Growing and healing can be hard and it was a privilege to walk alongside him. He has made us so very proud. We see God working in Him and that brings us more joy than we knew possible. He really has a love for the Lord and is so inquisitive to know Him more, which has also been a great lesson for me - if only we all had childlike faith.
One year ago D...
- weighed 43 pounds and stood 43 inches tall. Today he is 49 pounds and 46 inches tall. (still SO TALL!!!!)
- wore a size 11 shoe, is now in a size 13.
- wore 5T clothes, he is now a 7/8.
