Austin Adoption Events...THIS weekend!

This weekend will be busy. L has work stuff that will keep him pretty occupied for a few days and meanwhile I will be having adoption fun, on Saturday that is!

This Saturday, October 15th, there are two events I want to share with you. If you are in Austin you should come join the fun.

1) Austin Stone Orphan Care Network Launch - 11am-1pm (500 East St. John's Avenue Austin, TX 78752): We are starting an orphan care group at our church. We are broken into three areas: adoption, foster care, and international orphan care. At this event we will share information on how you can get involved in caring for the orphan, no matter what stage of life you are in.

Invite from the church: God calls His whole church to “visit orphans and widows in their distress”(James 1:27) and put His gospel on display. Join us on October 15th to celebrate God’s mission to serve the least of these. You’ll find information and resources on ways to plug in to what God is doing for the orphan in the Stone, the city, and the world.

Whether you are just curious about how to plug in, somewhere along in the journey to adoption, or have a full house of children, this will also be a great opportunity to connect with other individuals and families at the Stone who are passionate about adoption, foster care, and orphan care.

There will be fun activities for the kids, so bring a picnic lunch and celebrate with us!

2) Adoption Garage Sale: A couple from our adoption group is throwing an adoption garage sale. All proceeds go to Little R's adoption fund and another couple from our group who is adopting from Ethiopia. It is from 730am - 1pm at 1308 Old Mill Road Cedar Park, TX.
